One unique property of mandelic acid is that it is less irritating than other AHAs, making it a good option for people with sensitive skin. It is also less likely to cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is a concern for people with darker skin tones who are using other types of AHAs.

Aqua, Mandelic Acid, Isopentyldiol, Saccharide Isomerate, Glyceryl Glyceride, Lactobaccilus Ferment, Hydroxyacetophenone, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate,  Glyceryl Caprylate, Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract (and) aqua (and) glycerin, Phenethyl alcohol, 1-2 Hexandiol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Caprylyl Glycol.

For people who have not used acid products before, we recommend applying Ultralase10 twice a week after cleansing at night. Sensitive skins can apply a moisturiser before applying the serums to slow down the delivery of the acid. Do not apply to open lesions.

After 2 weeks it is possible to increase usage to every other day if there are no signs of visible peeling or irritation. Not all skin types will need this level of exfoliation, but human-based trials show great results in treating acne and melasma at this frequency. If there are signs of visible peeling simply drop frequency down again.

Each bottle contains 30ml (approximately 7-10 weeks supply if used 2-3 x weekly)

As with all AHA treatments, it is advisable to use a good SPF to protect the skin from UV rays. Exfoliation will increase UV penetration. Also, if you are treating hyperpigmentation, sun exposure will reactivate pigment release and prevent effective treatment, so it is especially important to protect these areas from UV.

About Our Mandelic Acid Range:

Ishtar Skinlights is the company that bought Mandelic Acid to the UK. Our mandelic acid products are designed to trigger optimum skin renewal using natural ingredients.

Extra Info:

Long term use of mandelic acid, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid found in the bitter almond,  stimulates deep level skin renewal. It can fade unsightly marks, diminish acne and refine skin texture.   Mandelic acid has proven anti-ageing and antibiotic properties making it an excellent choice for adult acne sufferers. Unlike Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid is considered safe for use on darker skin as it carries a low risk of causing pigmentation issues.

It is not necessary to visibly peel to gain all the benefits of Mandelic Acid. The aim is to stimulate ongoing deep level skin renewal without creating stress. This achieves better, more consistent results than a one-off strong peel.
